The 2024 edition of the FIU Music Festival kicks off on Friday, October 25, with a performance by the Habana Sax Quartet at the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center. Graduates of Cuba’s prestigious Superior Institute of Art and Culture, the members of Habana Sax fuse traditional forms with contemporary influences, creating an innovative sound that reflects their cultural heritage.
Expect an evening of lively salsa rhythms intertwined with deep jazz moments, all supported by Latin percussion. The FIU Music Festival 2024 continues through November with a lineup of diverse performances celebrating music from around the world.
