Flaming Jazz Jam: Siempre Flamenco

Flamenco and jazz meet in a cross-genre performance led by guitarist Paco Fonta and vibraphonist Alfredo Chacón at Lummus Park in Miami Beach. The concert takes place Sunday, September 6 as part of the free weekly Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, with bassist Agustín Conti and guitarist José Cortés joining the ensemble. Flamenco dancers Celia Fonta and Liliana de la Caridad add a movement component to the program.

Presented by Siempre Flamenco, the performance explores the rhythmic and improvisational connections between flamenco and jazz, pairing traditional guitar language with vibraphone, bass and dance.

The concert is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, blanket or picnic for seating on the lawn between 14th Street and 14th Place. In case of rain, the performance moves indoors to The Betsy Hotel.
