French Diction Recital

French-language vocal repertoire receives focused attention in a student recital centered on diction, interpretation and expressive text setting. The French Diction Recital takes place Sunday, November 22 at the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center as part of the FIU Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts 2026-2027 season. Directed by Dr. Vindhya Khare, the program marks the culmination of students’ work in French pronunciation and vocal performance.

The recital highlights the relationship between language and song, with students bringing attention to the sound, rhythm and nuance of French texts. Presented by the FIU Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts, the afternoon program offers audiences a look at vocal training through repertoire shaped by both musical expression and linguistic detail.
