Frost Jazz Vocal Ensembles

Jazz standards and contemporary vocal arrangements come together in a concert by the Frost Jazz Vocal Ensembles at UM Gusman Concert Hall. Presented Thursday, October 1, as part of Frost Music Live’s 2026-2027 season, the program is directed by Kate Reid and Maria Quintanilla.

The ensembles perform music by classic jazz composers alongside newer works and arrangements by contemporary artists and writers, highlighting the blend, rhythmic precision and improvisational character of vocal jazz. The program offers a broad view of the tradition, connecting established repertoire with the evolving language of today’s jazz vocal scene.
