Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes
Feb 06, 2027
Starting: 8:00 PM
Flamenco guitars, rumba rhythms and the distinctive vocals of Nicolas Reyes shape a concert drawing on the Gipsy Kings’ blend of Spanish musical traditions and Latin pop. Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes performs Saturday, February 6, 2027, at the James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami. The group’s repertoire includes internationally recognized songs such as “Bamboléo,” “Djobi Djoba” and its interpretation of “Volare.”
A co-founder and longtime lead singer, Reyes helped establish the group’s sound in southern France before its self-titled 1987 album brought that music to a worldwide audience. The band’s recordings combine flamenco-rooted guitar work with pop melodies and influences from Latin and Caribbean music. Its album Savor Flamenco earned the 2014 Grammy Award for Best World Music Album.
