Grunge Lives Here: Truly featuring Hiro Yamamoto
Oct 24, 2026
Seattle grunge band Truly makes its first Florida appearance with founding Soundgarden bassist Hiro Yamamoto at La Scala in Brickell. Grunge Lives Here takes place Saturday, October 24, pairing musicians connected to the original Seattle scene with bands carrying its sound forward.
Formed after Yamamoto’s departure from Soundgarden, Truly emerged from Seattle’s early-1990s alternative-rock scene with a sound rooted in grunge and psychedelic rock. Yamamoto co-founded Soundgarden in 1984 and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the band in 2025.
Miami band Last Goodbye rounds out the bill with songs from the 1990s catalogs of Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog and Soundgarden. A South Florida band selected through an open competition will begin the evening.
The concert is open to all ages.
