Haulover Park Coastal Cleanup

Contribute to ocean conservation and learn about endangered sea turtles while helping clean one of Miami-Dade’s most scenic coastal parks. This monthly volunteer opportunity offers participants a chance to support the environment and gain insight into local wildlife protection efforts.

The Haulover Park Coastal Cleanup takes place on the first Saturday of every month at Haulover Park. Volunteers assist with removing microplastics and litter while connecting with staff from the Miami-Dade County Sea Turtle Conservation Program (STCP), a group dedicated to protecting sea turtle nests and educating the public about coastal stewardship. Gloves and trash bags are provided, though reusable gloves are encouraged to reduce waste. Youth under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Participants should arrive on time, check in with STCP staff, and bring a refillable water bottle, sun protection and closed-toed shoes. Community service hour documentation is available by request. Advance registration is required through ParkLink.
