Homestead Salutes Veterans Day Celebration

Veterans Day traditions return to Downtown Homestead with a ceremony, parade, community picnic and live concert at Losner Park and the nearby Seminole Theatre. Presented Wednesday, November 11 by the City of Homestead with local VFW and veterans organizations, the free celebration honors military service while continuing one of the city’s longstanding annual traditions.
The day begins with a Veterans Celebration Ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by the 65th annual Veterans Day Parade from noon to 2 p.m. A Hometown Picnic takes place at Losner Park from 2 to 5 p.m., with food and community activities continuing throughout the afternoon.
The celebration concludes with a Veterans Day concert by the South Florida Youth Symphony from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Seminole Theatre. Admission is free and open to the public.
