Hot Brass: Chicago/Earth, Wind & Fire Tribute

Horn-driven rock, funk and soul come together in a live tribute to the music of Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Taking place Friday, February 12, the concert recreates the pairing of the two bands’ catalogs, moving between brass-heavy rock arrangements, funk grooves, ballads and disco-era favorites. The performance is presented by Debbie Pierce Music and sponsored in part by the City of Aventura.

Led by saxophonist Debbie Pierce, Hot Brass features four lead vocalists, a full horn section and rhythm section. The program draws from songs including Chicago’s “25 or 6 to 4,” “Make Me Smile” and “Colour My World,” alongside Earth, Wind & Fire favorites such as “September,” “Boogie Wonderland,” “Let’s Groove” and “Reasons.”

The ensemble includes professional musicians with touring and recording credits alongside artists including Gloria Estefan, Phil Collins, Jennifer Lopez, Jon Secada and George Benson, as well as two Grammy Award winners.
