In Community: 27th Annual Miami Riverday
Apr 11, 2026
From: 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM
HistoryMiami Museum brings its In-Community program to the 27th Annual Miami Riverday festival with interactive activities designed to help families explore Miami’s history and cultural heritage. The museum’s activation takes place Saturday, April 11 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Lummus Park Historic District along the Miami River.
Part of the museum’s initiative to bring history beyond its walls and into neighborhood spaces, the program invites visitors of all ages to engage with hands-on art-making activities and objects from HistoryMiami Museum’s education teaching collection. The experience encourages participants to learn about local stories and historical themes through creative exploration.
The activities are presented during Miami Riverday, a free community festival celebrating the history, culture and environmental significance of the Miami River. Festival highlights include guided tours, historical reenactments, environmental education stations, boat rides along the river and live music performances throughout the afternoon.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the event.
