Contemporary gallery exhibitions, large-scale installations and live art-making share a beachfront setting during Miami Art Week. The inaugural InScope Art Festival takes place Tuesday, December 1, through Sunday, December 6, on the sand at Ocean Drive and 8th Street in Miami Beach. Created by the team behind SCOPE Art Show, the event builds on its predecessor’s focus on emerging artists while expanding into conversations, wellness activities and evening programming.
More than 70 galleries from 12 countries present work across four beachfront pavilions. The exhibitions span painting, sculpture, textiles, photography and mixed media, with presentations including Candice Tavares’s wooden collages, Lærke Lillelund’s fiber sculptures and paintings by Auudi Dorsey.
Installations and site-specific projects extend beyond the gallery booths, with contributions from artists including Swoon, Alake Shilling and Jason Hackenwerth. In The Art of Dancehall, presented in collaboration with Walshy Fire, Jamaican sign painters work inside a recreated sign shop, offering visitors a close look at the hand-painted lettering associated with the island’s music and community life. Visitors can commission signs for collection the following day.
The broader program includes artist and collector conversations, movement and mindfulness sessions, dinners, receptions and musical performances. December 1 is reserved for eligible VIP and press preview attendees, with public gallery access Wednesday, December 2, through Sunday, December 6. Single-day and full-week admission options are available, with discounted tickets for Miami Beach residents, students and seniors. Individual program schedules will be announced.
