International Coastal Cleanup Miami Dade
Sep 19, 2026
Volunteers fan out across Miami-Dade County’s beaches, marinas, parks and natural areas for the local edition of the annual International Coastal Cleanup. Held Saturday, September 19, the countywide effort includes more than 70 shoreline cleanups organized locally by VolunteerCleanup.org as part of Ocean Conservancy’s global campaign to remove marine debris and document litter.
Participating sites include Haulover Beach, Matheson Hammock Park, Homestead Bayfront Park, Pelican Harbor Marina, Virginia Key, Deering Estate and other coastal and park locations throughout the county. Volunteers collect trash and debris while contributing data that helps track the types and sources of pollution affecting waterways and shorelines.
Registration is handled by individual cleanup sites, with Miami-Dade Parks participating through its Volunteers in Parks program and other community partners.
