International Noise Conference at Locust Projects
This event has passed.
An eclectic gathering of experimental sound artists transforms everyday objects and instruments into unique sonic experiences. Locust Projects hosts an International Noise Conference (INC) performance on Tuesday, February 4, offering Miami audiences a free evening of avant-garde music and performance art.
Founded by Frank Falestra (Rat Bastard), this annual event showcases musicians who challenge conventional approaches to sound creation, with each performer limited to 15-minute sets. The lineup features local and visiting artists including Oly, Carlos Americo, Bitter Lake, Pocket of Lollipops, Rafa Vargas Bernard, Cloyster.wav and Lucas Abela, among others. Curated by Houndstooth Cottage, this Locust Projects showcase is part of a larger festival running from January 31 through February 9, 2025, that brings together Miami-based and international artists in venues across the city. Performers utilize everything from traditional instruments to household items and machines, creating an evolving platform for experimental music and sound art.
