Invasive Species
Mar 13, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
A five-piece Americana jam band brings folk-rock standards and improvisational grooves to the waterfront lawn at The Barnacle in Coconut Grove. Invasive Species performs Friday, March 13.
Describing their sound as “cosmic Americana” and “Grateful country rock,” Invasive Species channels the spirit of 1960s and ’70s concert lawns with a classic blend of guitar-driven melodies, fiddle, bass and piano. The group’s set pays homage to traditional Americana influences while leaning into extended jams and easygoing, roots-oriented arrangements.
Guests are invited to bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs and flashlights for the outdoor concert. Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for Barnacle Society members, $10 for children ages 6 to 17 and free for children 5 and under. Pets are not permitted.
Set along the shore of Biscayne Bay, The Barnacle Historic State Park was the longtime home of Ralph Middleton Munroe, an early Coconut Grove pioneer, yacht designer and environmental advocate. The preserved tropical hardwood hammock and bayfront setting provide a scenic backdrop for this evening performance.
