Isaac Delgado & Alain Perez

Two major Cuban musicians share the stage in Miami Beach for an evening of salsa, Afro-Cuban rhythms and Latin jazz-rooted performance. The concert takes place Saturday, September 19 at The Fillmore Miami Beach, featuring vocalist Issac Delgado with musician, producer and composer Alain Pérez. The pairing brings together longtime collaborators whose careers have helped shape contemporary Cuban popular music.

Delgado emerged as one of modern Cuban salsa’s leading voices after his work with N.G. La Banda, the influential Cuban dance group associated with the album En La Calle and the hit “Necesito Una Amiga.” His solo career has blended salsa, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, pop and jazz, with later work incorporating electronic and more experimental elements.

Pérez is a Cuban singer, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, orchestra director and producer whose work spans popular Cuban music, flamenco, jazz and salsa. His career includes work with Chucho Valdés and Irakere, Paco de Lucía and Jerry González, as well as musical direction for Delgado’s orchestra. Pérez also shared the 2021 Latin Grammy Award for Best Traditional Tropical Album with Issac Delgado and Orquesta Aragón for Cha Cha Chá: Homenaje a lo Tradicional.
