This accomplished Cuban pianist and composer brings extensive training from Havana's Amadeo Roldán Conservatory, where he studied under influential instructors including Violeta Hemsy de Gainza, Jorge Luis Prats, Andrés Allen and Arturo O'Farrill. His versatile musical direction encompasses a range of formats from symphonic arrangements to jazz ensembles, chamber music and electronic experimentation.
Pupo's compositions have been featured in documentary films and performed at prestigious venues including the Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra. His collaborative work includes performances with notable artists such as Danay Suárez, Richard Bona, Carlos Varela and the Proyecto Rhythm Portal, as well as appearances at major events like Premios lo Nuestro accompanying Romeo Santos and Gente de Zona.
His discography includes the album Nevando en La Habana and his 2023 release ORO, recorded in Jazz Band format under the EGREM Record Label. Currently, Pupo continues to develop new musical projects while touring with the Richard Bona Asante Trio.
