Juke

Harmonica-led blues takes an unconventional turn in the music of a four-piece band that describes its sound as “post-blues.” Juke performs Saturday, November 21 at the Off the Shelf Stage at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in Downtown Miami, as part of Miami Book Fair.

Led by singer and harmonica player Eric Garcia, known as “Uncle Scotchy,” the group features Harold Trucco, Korian Hannah and Sebastian Gavilan. Its songs pair blues-based playing with storytelling that reaches beyond the genre’s familiar subjects. Juke’s performance history includes appearances at Wanee and Hulaween and shows with G. Love, Zach Deputy and Gary Clark Jr.

Admission is free.
