A sensory-friendly morning introduces basic laboratory safety through hands-on learning in a calm, supportive museum environment.
Just for Me: Lab Safety Training takes place on Saturday, March 21 at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. Part of the museum’s recurring Just for Me series, the program offers early access hours designed to accommodate individuals and families with diverse sensory and accessibility needs.
During Just for Me hours, sound and lighting levels throughout the museum are adjusted to create a quieter, more comfortable experience. Select exhibits include tactile and interactive elements that allow guests to explore scientific concepts at their own pace. The Lab Safety Training activation introduces foundational laboratory practices, focusing on safety awareness and practical steps for conducting simple experiments responsibly at home.
The Just for Me series emphasizes inclusive exploration and shared learning, providing families with a welcoming space to engage with science while building confidence and curiosity.
