Just for Me: Paleontology 101
Nov 21, 2026
From: 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
A hands-on mini excavation introduces visitors to the search for dinosaur fossils during a morning of sensory-friendly museum exploration. Just for Me: Paleontology 101 takes place Saturday, November 21, at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. The program is designed for individuals and families with diverse sensory and accessibility needs, allowing participants to explore scientific concepts at their own pace.
Sound and lighting adjustments within the exhibitions create a quieter environment. Sensory backpacks containing noise-reducing earmuffs and sensory toys are available to borrow at the front kiosk in child and adult sizes on a first-come, first-served basis. Families can also review the museum’s Social Narrative before visiting.
No registration is required to participate in the activities. A limited number of complimentary museum admissions are available through a separate request form on the event page, with support from the Albert and Jane Nahmad Foundation.
