A multi-day showcase of independent and international cinema brings feature films, documentaries and shorts to venues across Key Biscayne.
The 3rd annual Key Biscayne Film Festival takes place January 29 through February 1 at multiple locations on Key Biscayne, presenting a curated lineup of narrative features and documentaries designed to spark conversation and community engagement. Founded in 2023, the annual festival highlights both Florida-based filmmakers and internationally recognized talent, offering local audiences access to acclaimed films typically seen at major festivals.
The 2026 program includes a diverse slate of screenings spanning drama, documentary and character-driven storytelling. Featured films include Mistura, directed by Ricardo Montreuil; Blue Zeus, directed by Rocky Romano and Miranda Winters; River of Grass, directed by Sasha Wortzel; Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore, directed by Shoshannah Stern; News without a Newsroom, directed by Oana Martisca; Anxiety Club, directed by Wendy Lobel, followed by a director Q&A; Ethan Bloom, directed by Herschel Faber; and Naked Ambition, directed by Dennis Scholl.
Screenings take place at venues including Paradise Cinema, Paradise Park and the Rosenstiel School Auditorium, with select events featuring post-screening discussions and hosted receptions. Presented in partnership with the Village of Key Biscayne and the Key Biscayne Community Foundation, the festival continues its mission of strengthening the island’s cultural life through film, storytelling and shared experience.
