Kids' Graffiti Drawing Class Led By Local Artists
Apr 12, 2026 - Jun 28, 2026
weekly on Sunday
From: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
A weekly hands-on art class at the Museum of Graffiti introduces children to the fundamentals of graffiti through guided drawing sessions led by local artists. Held on Sundays from April 12 through June 28, with morning classes from 10 to 11 a.m., the program takes place in Wynwood, a neighborhood closely tied to Miami’s street art culture. The sessions are designed to foster creativity while teaching foundational techniques.
Participants learn core elements of graffiti, including lettering styles, character development, shading and color application, using markers to create their own artwork to take home. The classes also provide context on the history and cultural significance of graffiti within broader hip-hop and urban art movements.
Hosted within the Museum of Graffiti, the program connects practical instruction with a setting dedicated to preserving and interpreting the art form. The class offers a structured environment for children to explore artistic expression while engaging with an important aspect of Miami’s visual culture.
