Kite Festival at Haulover Park

Florida’s largest kite festival returns to Haulover Park in Miami Beach, with two days of large-scale kite flying and open participation for all ages.

The 34th Annual Kite Festival at Haulover Park takes place Saturday and Sunday, February 14-15, from noon to 5 p.m. The annual event fills the sky with hundreds of colorful kites, including oversized show kites such as whales, octopuses, stingrays, astronauts and large parafoils that can stretch hundreds of feet across the sky.

Hosted by Skyward Kites, the festival welcomes participants of all ages to fly their own kites with no restrictions on size or style. Attendees are encouraged to showcase traditional kite designs representing different cultures, reflecting South Florida’s diverse community. Kites will also be available for purchase on site, along with food and refreshments. Those who prefer to watch can bring blankets, enjoy music and take in the spectacle from the sand. Admission is free, with paid parking available nearby.
