Kite Festival at Haulover Park

Hundreds of colorful kites, including giant whales, octopuses, stingrays and other large-scale show designs, fill the sky above Haulover Park during a two-day waterfront gathering for kite enthusiasts and families. The 34th annual October Kite Festival takes place Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25, with open flying areas for participants of all ages.

Hosted by Skyward Kites, the festival welcomes kites of all sizes and styles, from handmade designs to elaborate inflatable creations measuring more than 100 feet. Participants are also encouraged to fly traditional kites representing cultures from around the world, continuing a festival tradition that has included designs from the Caribbean, Latin America, Asia and beyond.

Kites, food and refreshments will be available for purchase on-site, while visitors may also bring blankets and watch the aerial displays accompanied by music. Admission is free, with paid parking available at Haulover Park.
