A conversation with artist Edouard Duval-Carrié explores Haitian culture through his artistic journey, influences and contributions to Caribbean art. Konbit Bwason launches its Luminary Series: A Culture Conversation on Saturday, November 7 at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, with an inaugural program organized by K. Jacques Altidor.
The series recognizes individuals whose work has shaped Haitian culture and heritage. Its first featured guest, Duval-Carrié, is a Haitian-born, Miami-based artist whose work explores migration, memory and Caribbean history. The evening includes a fireside conversation with the artist, a Haitian rhum and chocolate pairing and Haitian-inspired cocktails.
Admission is free, and free parking is available.
