La Calle
Feb 18, 2026 - Oct 21, 2026
Select Days
From: 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM
A bi-weekly series centers movement, art and shared learning as tools for community connection and cultural exchange.
La Calle is Carne Viva’s ongoing community initiative offering accessible midweek classes led by artists working across dance, music and text-based practices. Designed for participants of all experience levels, the series emphasizes inclusivity, welcoming all bodies while challenging traditional ideas of who gets to create, move and belong. Each session is rooted in the belief that community shapes artistic practice, and that practice, in turn, can shape more just and connected communities.
Through a rotating lineup of artist-led classes, La Calle uses movement and creative expression as forms of artivism, encouraging dialogue, cultural exchange and collective empowerment within a supportive environment. The program prioritizes process over performance, making space for experimentation, learning and shared experience.
La Calle takes place bi-weekly on Wednesdays from February 4 through October 21 at Fantasy Theatre Factory at the Sandrell Rivers Theater. Classes begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $15 for general participants and $12 for students.
