La Casita

A gallery, a salsa class and a home frame an immersive story about a neighborhood in transition in Little Havana. Presented by Juggerknot Theatre Company, La Casita runs on select dates November 19 through December 20 at 1340 SW 8th St., inviting audiences to consider what happens when a neighborhood moves on without its residents.

Written by Cuban-born Miami playwright Juan C. Sanchez and directed by Ana Margineanu, the production features Therese Adelína, Vanessa Elise, Andrés Mejía Vallejo and Glenda Pezuela. Sanchez’s previous work includes Juggerknot’s Miami Motel Stories series, which uses immersive theater to explore Miami’s communities and histories.

The approximately 75-minute experience involves standing and walking throughout the performance, with limited seating available for those who need it. Guests must be ages 16 or older and should arrive at least 15 minutes before their performance; late entry is not permitted. November 19–22 performances are previews.
