Labor Day Run

Celebrate Labor Day weekend with a relaxed, community-centered run along the scenic waterfront of Key Biscayne. Open to runners and walkers of all experience levels, this welcoming event emphasizes fun, fitness and reflection—offering a low-pressure way to stay active while honoring the contributions of workers past and present.
The Labor Day Run takes place on Saturday, August 30, at Playita in Key Biscayne, across from the Miami Marine Stadium. Designed as an intimate group run, the event limits participation in each wave to ensure a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Runners and walkers of all ages and paces are welcome, including minors accompanied by a guardian. There’s no formal race infrastructure—just meet at the starting point and follow the guidance of on-site coordinators.
Wave start times are available at 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 8:30 a.m., assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Timing is completely optional and can be tracked using apps like Strava or Nike Run Club, or with help from the event team. No timing chips are used.
Each participant receives a swag bag with a finisher’s medal, race T-shirt, towel or giveaway item, digital training pack, certificate of completion and access to local running clubs. All items are shipped in advance to registered U.S. addresses. Race bibs will be distributed on-site the morning of the event.
Course maps and final event details will be emailed the Wednesday before race day. A virtual option is also available for those unable to attend in person or if in-person waves reach capacity. For wave selection or additional questions, contact the organizers at info@thebestraces.com.
