Labor Day Weekend at the Deering Estate

A long weekend at Deering Estate offers time outdoors by Biscayne Bay, guided tours and access to historic and cultural exhibitions across the property. Labor Day Weekend at Deering Estate takes place September 5-7, with reduced $8 general admission for ages 4 and up. Visitors can bring a picnic, explore the grounds beneath the Royal Palm trees and spend the day at one of Miami-Dade County’s designated Heritage Parks.

Guided museum tours will be offered at 11:30 a.m., providing a closer look at the Estate’s historic houses and the stories connected to the site. Visitors can also view Family History is America’s Story: Tracing the Deering Family through Time, an America250-related exhibition presented in collaboration with the Genealogical Society of Greater Miami. The exhibition traces members of the Deering family across generations while connecting their story to broader American history from before the Revolutionary War through the present.

Admission is free for Deering Estate Foundation members and children 3 and under. Deering Estate is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no admission after 4 p.m. Reduced admission tickets are available online, and advance purchase is recommended because on-site ticket sales may be limited.
