Jazz vocalist Laila Biali joins three Frost vocal ensembles for a program spanning original music, jazz standards and contemporary songs at Gusman Concert Hall. The concert takes place Friday, February 12 as part of the Frost School of Music’s 2026-2027 season, bringing Biali together with Frost Extensions, Jazz Vocal I and Jazz Vocal II. Kate Reid and Maria Quintanilla direct the ensembles in a program highlighting solo and collaborative vocal performance.
A GRAMMY-nominated and JUNO Award-winning singer, pianist and songwriter, Biali moves between jazz, pop and singer-songwriter traditions in both her original work and interpretations of familiar repertoire. Her appearance with the Frost singers places that genre-spanning approach within an ensemble setting, with arrangements designed to showcase the range and versatility of contemporary jazz vocals.
