This event has passed.
Explore the intersection of art and architecture with a behind-the-scenes tour of Lauren Shapiro’s Pastiche at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
Lauren Shapiro’s Pastiche: A Behind the Scenes Tour takes place Friday, July 11 and offers a closer look at her site-specific installation for the 2024 Contemporary Arts Program (CAP). Attendees will engage directly with the artist and explore how her sculptural work responds to the legacy of Paul Chalfin, Vizcaya’s founding artistic director, in honor of his 150th birthday.
The tour highlights Shapiro’s reinterpretations of Chalfin’s influence through contemporary ceramics and installations across three historic rooms: the Breakfast Room, Enclosed Loggia and Reception Room.
This guided experience includes museum admission. Tickets are $39 for adults and $24 for children ages 6–12. The program is not recommended for children under 5 and involves navigating stairs. Guests should present their Eventbrite ticket at the admissions booth upon arrival. The event takes place rain or shine.
