L'Eclair + Charli Chimi
Aug 01, 2026
From: 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Swiss instrumental band L’Eclair brings its groove-driven blend of funk, psych, disco and global rhythms to ZeyZey Miami for a free ZeyZey Selects concert. L’Eclair + Charli Chimi takes place Saturday, August 1, at 8 p.m.
Formed in Geneva after early demos by keyboardist Sebastien Bui and guitarist Stefan Lilov grew into a full six-piece band, L’Eclair is known for fluid instrumental arrangements built around percussion, basslines and analog textures. The group released its debut album Cruise Control in 2017, followed by Polymood in 2018, recorded in the Netherlands with producer Jasper Geluk and released by Beyond Beyond is Beyond.
Opening the evening is Charli Chimi, the alter ego of Dominican-raised Cuban artist Charles Garmendia. A percussionist with international projects including WITCH and L’Eclair, Garmendia’s Charli Chimi project draws from Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk, Caribbean street culture and theatrical live performance. His debut album, Disco Chimi, was recorded across Havana, New York, Miami and Santo Domingo and is slated for release through Club Coco.
ZeyZey Miami is an open-air cultural venue in Little Haiti known for live music, DJ events, craft cocktails, natural wines and food from Tacos María, including grass-fed, seed-oil-free tacos.
