Left on Tenth
Nov 21, 2025 - Dec 21, 2025
weekly on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
A late-in-life romance, sparked by an unexpected email, unfolds in this stage adaptation of a true story about grief, hope and emotional renewal. Based on the best-selling memoir by Delia Ephron, the play traces a journey of rediscovery following personal loss, told with wit, honesty and a deep sense of humanity.
Left on Tenth runs November 21 through December 21, on select dates at GableStage at the Biltmore. The production is adapted by Ephron herself—known for co-writing You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle—and centers on her real-life experience reconnecting with a former flame after the death of her husband. The story follows the rekindled relationship as it grows through emails, phone calls and cross-country visits, while also confronting illness, vulnerability and unexpected joy.
Directed by GableStage Producing Artistic Director Bari Newport (Summer, 1976; Appropriate), the Miami premiere features a cast of four actors and two live dogs. Left on Tenth is part of GableStage’s 27th season, which includes four premieres and a production by Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz. Single tickets go on sale August 26.
