Diaspora Vibe Cultural Arts Incubator (DVCAI) presents Legacy and Innovation in Contemporary Southern Visual Art Exhibition, a nationally touring showcase featuring nine recipients of the 2025 South Arts State Fellowships for Visual Arts. On view November 19, 2026, through February 27, 2027, at DVCAI at Barry University, the exhibition is organized by South Arts and curated by Shannon Rae Lindsey.
For its first South Florida presentation, DVCAI Founder and Curator-in-Residence Rosie Gordon-Wallace brings a Miami perspective through a site-responsive installation and public programs celebrating the region’s cultural connections to the American South, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Through compelling artworks and community conversations, explore themes of memory, migration, labor, identity, and place while discovering the rich traditions and innovative voices shaping contemporary Southern art.
