Live En La Playa
Oct 10, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Latin-funk, Afro-Caribbean jazz and vinyl from across Latin America and the Hispanic diaspora come together for an open-air evening at Lummus Park in Miami Beach. The second annual Live En La Playa takes place Saturday, October 10 as part of the City of Miami Beach OnStage! series and its Hispanic Heritage Month programming. Performances by Miami’s Spam Allstars and Tony & The Kings anchor the night alongside DJ sets, a record fair and a participatory art activity.
Led by DJ Le Spam, Spam Allstars have developed a distinctly Miami sound they describe as “electronic descarga,” combining Latin rhythms, funk and electronic music. Tony & The Kings bring Afro-Caribbean jazz to the lineup, while Aaron Brown (Mr. Brown), Miami Is an Island and Tiki Tumbao Records’ Travis Acker and Lula Rios curate additional sounds throughout the evening.
The Miami Is an Island Record Fair will feature vinyl spanning Latin America and the Hispanic diaspora, and Cut and Destroy will lead a station where attendees can create heritage-inspired pin buttons. Presented by the City of Miami Beach OnStage! program in partnership with Miami Jazz Booking, the event is free with RSVP. Attendees are welcome to bring a blanket for seating on the lawn.
