Mango Mania
Jun 28, 2026
From: 9:00 AM to Noon
Mango lovers can sample rare varieties, learn from a South Florida grower and support one of the region’s key tropical fruit collections at this limited-attendance fundraiser. Mango Mania takes place Sunday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to noon at UF/IFAS Extension Miami-Dade County in Homestead. Presented by the Tropical Fruit & Vegetable Society of the Redland, the annual event benefits Fruit & Spice Park.
The program features guest speaker Chris Wenzel, founder of Truly Tropical in Delray Beach, presenting “All About Mangoes.” Drawing on her experience growing more than 200 tropical fruit trees, including more than 90 mango varieties, Wenzel will discuss mango cultivation, variety development, grafting, tree care and tips for growing mangoes successfully in South Florida.
Tickets include a continental breakfast, a mango tasting with up to 150 varieties, a take-home bag of mangoes, free parking and same-day admission to Fruit & Spice Park. Proceeds support projects at the park, which is home to more than 200 mango varieties and hundreds of tropical fruit species.
