Mapping Miami with Buen Provecho Collective

A participatory workshop invites residents to explore Miami through personal stories and creative mapping. Mapping Miami with Buen Provecho Collective takes place Thursday, April 9 at the Doral Cultural Arts Center.

Part of the ongoing Mapping Miami project, the event encourages participants to reflect on places in the city that hold meaning for them. Through guided activities, attendees create visual or written responses tied to specific locations, which are later added to an interactive digital map. Each entry becomes part of a growing, community-driven archive documenting Miami’s cultural landscape through lived experiences.

The project combines public art and digital storytelling to capture personal connections to neighborhoods across Miami-Dade County, highlighting how residents experience a rapidly evolving city. The workshop is presented in collaboration with Buen Provecho Collective, a Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to making art accessible and supporting local creative communities.

This program is part of the annual O, Miami Poetry Festival, a monthlong April celebration that brings poetry and creative expression into public spaces and community venues throughout Miami-Dade County. RSVP details will be announced.
