Miami Beach OnStage!: Juneteenth Day of Freedom

A beachfront dance performance in Miami Beach marks Juneteenth with movement, music and reflection on freedom. Juneteenth- A Day of Freedom takes place Friday, June 19 at the Lummus Park beachfront between 13th and 14th streets. Presented as part of the City of Miami Beach OnStage! series, the free program features Peter London Global Dance Company. The performance commemorates Juneteenth through contemporary dance, highlighting the strength, resilience and cultural contributions of the Black community. 

Peter London Global Dance Company is a Miami-based multicultural contemporary dance company known for work influenced by modern dance, ballet, jazz and African, Caribbean and Latin American movement traditions. Founded by choreographer and educator Peter London, the company has served as an artist-in-residence at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex and has become a prominent part of South Florida’s contemporary dance landscape.
