MIGF 2027 GuitART Festival: Folk & Baroque with Fire & Grace
Jan 27, 2027
From: 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Classical, folk and contemporary traditions meet in a violin-and-guitar recital by Fire & Grace at FIU’s Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center. Held Wednesday, January 27 as part of the annual Miami International GuitART Festival, the duo features guitarist William Coulter and violinist Edwin Huizinga.
Fire & Grace draws connections across musical traditions from different regions and eras, blending classical repertoire with folk influences and contemporary approaches. Their collaboration emphasizes the shared rhythmic, melodic and expressive qualities that link otherwise distinct styles.
The 2027 Miami International GuitART Festival runs January 22–31 with daily concerts, master classes, lectures and a Luthiers Expo. A festival pass is available for access to events throughout the 10-day program.
