MIGF 2027 GuitART Festival: Songs in Disguise
Jan 25, 2027
From: 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Bach, Chopin, Tōru Takemitsu and Pat Metheny share the program in a solo recital by Italian guitarist Mattia Dugheri at FIU’s Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center. Held Monday, January 25 as part of the annual Miami International GuitART Festival, Songs in Disguise brings together classical, contemporary and jazz-influenced repertoire in a wide-ranging program for guitar.
Dugheri’s selections span works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Fryderyk Chopin, Tōru Takemitsu and Pat Metheny, highlighting the guitar’s ability to move across distinct musical traditions and styles. The guitarist will also lead a festival master class earlier that afternoon.
The 2027 Miami International GuitART Festival runs January 22–31 with daily concerts, master classes, lectures and a Luthiers Expo. A festival pass is available for access to events throughout the 10-day program.
