Moon Viewing

Watch the moon rise over Biscayne Bay during a peaceful evening of stargazing from the Deering Estate’s historic front lawn.

Moon Viewing takes place on select Fridays through May 29, 2026, offering after-hours access to the grounds for an outdoor experience under the night sky. Guests are invited to bring their own telescopes or binoculars, along with chairs, blankets or a picnic to enjoy with family and friends. Picnic tables in the Royal Palm Grove are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This event is held entirely outdoors; the museums remain closed. Visitors are encouraged to bring battery-operated lanterns or flashlights—open flames and candles are not permitted. Long sleeves and comfortable clothing are recommended.

Admission is $10 for non-members and $5 for Deering Estate Foundation members. Tickets must be purchased in advance through Park Link.
