Mother's Day at Deering Estate

Picnicking under royal palms, guided tours and Biscayne Bay cruises offer several ways to spend Mother’s Day at Deering Estate. Mother’s Day at Deering Estate takes place Sunday, May 9, with daytime activities available across the historic bayfront property. The annual event invites families to bring their own picnic, explore the grounds and add optional programming such as a bay cruise or conservation workshop.
Mother’s Day activities include:
- Bring-your-own picnic: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with general admission to the estate grounds
- Guided House Tour: 11:30 a.m.
- Guided Nature Preserve Tour: 12:30 p.m.
- Mother’s Day Bay Cruise: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m., aboard the Pelican Skipper
- Conservation Workshop Series: 1 to 3 p.m.
The Mother’s Day Bay Cruise includes same-day general admission to the estate and a complimentary glass of champagne for guests 21 and older. The 45-foot Corinthian catamaran complies with Coast Guard regulations and is ADA accessible. The cruise program is open to adults and youth ages 4 and older, and guests should arrive at least 30 minutes before departure for check-in.
General admission is $18 for adults and $10 for children ages 4-14, with admission free for Deering Estate Foundation members and children under 4. Bay cruise tickets are $65 per person and available via Miami-Dade County ParkLink.
