Mother's Day at Deering Estate

Celebrate mom in the serene beauty of historic grounds and peaceful bay waters. The Deering Estate welcomes visitors to celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday, May 11, offering a full day of family-friendly activities including a picnic, nature experiences and a relaxing bay cruise.
- Mother's Day Brunch (Bring Your Own Picnic): Families can spread out their picnic blankets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., enjoying quality time together beneath majestic Royal Palm trees with views of Biscayne Bay. The day's activities include a guided Nature Preserve tour at 12:30 p.m. and access to the Garden Exhibition, which features innovative sculptures and sound installations by current Artist-in-Residence Gustavo Matamoros in collaboration with Robert Thiele.
- Mother's Day Bay Cruise: For those seeking a maritime experience, the Pelican Skipper, a 45-foot Corinthian catamaran, offers two-hour bay cruises departing at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The ADA-accessible vessel provides comfortable seating, and adult passengers receive a complimentary glass of champagne upon return. Cruise participants should arrive 30 minutes before departure.
General admission is $18 for adults, $10 for children ages 4-14, and free for Foundation Members and children under 4. Bay cruise tickets, available exclusively online through Miami Dade County Park Link, are $65 per person for ages 4 and up, including Estate admission. Weather conditions may affect cruise schedules, with rescheduling available if needed.
