Apr 19, 2026
From: 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
A chamber music program brings together works from two defining periods of classical composition in an intimate museum setting.
Presented by the South Beach Chamber Ensemble, this performance takes place Sunday, April 19 at the Coral Gables Museum. The program features Mozart’s Piano Trio No. 4 in E major, K. 542 and Schumann’s Piano Trio No. 2 in F major, Op. 80.
Mozart’s trio reflects the clarity, balance and melodic precision of the Classical era, while Schumann’s composition introduces the expressive depth and emotional nuance associated with Romantic music. Together, the works highlight the evolution of chamber music through contrasting styles and compositional approaches.
Performed in a close listening environment, the concert emphasizes the dynamic interplay between piano, violin and cello. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the performance.
