Music and Movement Interactive Performance
Jun 27, 2026
From: 11:00 AM to Noon
Classical and Cuban rhythms become the starting point for an interactive music and movement experience designed for neurodiverse participants and their families. Music and Movement Interactive Performance takes place Saturday, June 27, at the Coral Gables Museum. Presented by Area Stage’s Inspire Theatre Project, the free program invites audiences to engage with rhythm, movement and live participation in a welcoming setting.
Led by Inspire Theatre Project instructors Irma Becker and Massiel Rodriguez, the workshop-style performance is created for neurodiverse participants ages 13 and up and their families. The program explores music through direct audience involvement, encouraging participants to respond to sound, rhythm and movement in ways that support creative expression and shared engagement.
Part of Area Stage Conservatory, the Inspire Theatre Project was founded in 2014 by Executive Director Maria Banda-Rodaz. The program provides adaptive performing arts training for students ages five through adulthood across Miami-Dade County, with instruction in voice, dance, acting and musical theater.
