Myrna and Sheldon Palley Glass Artist Lecture ft. Dan Dailey

Glass artist Dan Dailey reflects on five decades of experimentation, narrative and humor in a lecture at the Lowe Art Museum. The Thursday, October 8 program is part of the Myrna and Sheldon Palley Glass Artist Lecture series and traces Dailey’s role in expanding the possibilities of the Studio Glass movement.

Dailey will discuss formative experiences including studying with Dale Chihuly at the Rhode Island School of Design, receiving a Fulbright fellowship to work with Venini in Murano and later founding the glass program at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. The talk also considers his work in industrial design and the way wit and storytelling became defining elements of his approach to glass.
