New Atlantis
Mar 18, 2026 - Mar 22, 2026
From: Noon to 6:00 PM
An art exhibition exploring Miami’s cultural identity and environmental future is presented at Green Space Miami during Miami Climate Week. New Atlantis will be on view March 18–22 from noon to 6 p.m.
Presented through Green Space Miami’s open call program, the exhibition features artists whose work reflects on the communities that built Miami and the forces shaping its ongoing transformation. Through visual art and conceptual projects, participating artists examine themes including migration, cultural resilience, urban development and the environmental pressures facing coastal cities.
The exhibition takes its title from the myth of Atlantis, the legendary civilization said to have vanished beneath the sea. Drawing on this allegory, the works consider Miami as a rapidly evolving metropolis shaped by both cultural vitality and the realities of rising seas, shifting landscapes and economic change.
Inspired in part by Miami resident Iggy Pop’s song “New Atlantis,” the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on how the city’s past, present and future intersect in a place defined by constant reinvention.
Held at Green Space Miami, the exhibition is open to the public during scheduled gallery hours.
