One For All
Jan 15, 2027
Starting: 8:00 PM
Men’s choral music spanning more than 1,000 years is the focus of Seraphic Fire’s a cappella program at Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables. One For All takes place Friday, January 15, conducted by James K. Bass. The concert explores repertoire written for lower voices, from early sacred and secular traditions to Romantic part-songs and folk music.
The program includes Renaissance madrigals, selections from Poulenc’s Laudes de Saint Antoine de Padoue and folk songs such as Loch Lomond and Danny Boy. Together, the works highlight the range of men’s ensemble singing, from resonant sacred textures to lighter songs shaped by humor, warmth and communal storytelling.
Founded in South Florida in 2002, Seraphic Fire is a Grammy-nominated professional vocal ensemble with a national touring and recording history. The group has released 16 full-length albums, including Grammy-nominated recordings of A Seraphic Fire Christmas and Brahms: Ein Deutsches Requiem, and continues to support vocal music education through youth, collegiate and professional training initiatives.
