Oolite Arts Conversations: Ralph Rugoff
Oct 29, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Curator Ralph Rugoff reflects on exhibition-making, contemporary art and the role of multiple perspectives in a public conversation at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex. Presented Thursday, October 29 by Oolite Arts, the talk opens the fall season of Oolite Arts Conversations and draws on Rugoff’s decades of work across museums, biennials and independent curatorial projects.
Rugoff served as director of London’s Hayward Gallery from 2006 to 2026 and was artistic director of the 58th Venice Biennale in 2019. His curatorial work has included exhibitions devoted to artists such as Ed Ruscha, Tracey Emin, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Louise Bourgeois, Tavares Strachan and Anish Kapoor, along with thematic projects examining broader questions in contemporary art. During the conversation, he will discuss approaches to creating exhibitions that bring differing viewpoints into dialogue and encourage exchange among audiences.
Oolite Arts Conversations is a public program organized by Senior Director of Programs Rina Carvajal as a forum for discussion around contemporary visual art and curatorial practice. Admission is free, with complimentary on-site parking available.
