Every corner of Overtown holds a story, and its young people are the ones telling it now. Presented by URGENT, Inc., this youth photovoice exhibition, held during Soul Basel 2026 in Historic Overtown, hands the camera to the next generation, who use photography, visual art, multimedia, and community documentation to explore the places, people, and possibilities that define their neighborhood. From familiar streets and historic landmarks to gathering spaces and shared memories, students reveal Overtown as a living archive, one that’s still being written. Come see the neighborhood through their eyes, and consider the question at the heart of the show: Where does a community keep its stories?
