Overtown Music & Arts Festival
Jul 19, 2025
From: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
A beloved cultural tradition returns to its roots in Miami’s historic Overtown neighborhood, renewed with a focus on community, connection and cultural pride. The Overtown Music & Arts Festival makes its homecoming to Dorsey Park on Saturday, July 19, reimagined this year as Family Reunion Fest—a more intimate edition designed to preserve the spirit of the event while cultivating a family-friendly, neighborhood block party atmosphere.
Since 2014, the festival has served as a cultural cornerstone, uniting the community through live music, art, food, games, and youth programming. This free event continues its legacy of spotlighting Grammy-winning talent while uplifting local artists and creatives from across South Florida. This year’s lineup includes headline performances by Estelle, Melanie Fiona, Carl Thomas, Tito Puente Jr. and The Gospel Explosion. High-energy DJ sets bring themed experiences like The Doo-Wop Set (classic R&B and soul), The Sample Set (old school vs. new school), Who’s Era (hits from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s), Island Heatwave (afrobeats, dancehall, and Latin vibes), and MIA: Miami Sound Clash, a tribute to the city’s homegrown sound.
Dorsey Park—located on NW 1st Avenue between NW 17th and NW 18th Street—will be transformed into a vibrant cultural hub featuring visual art installations, handmade crafts and a curated marketplace showcasing jewelry and artworks that reflect the region’s multicultural heritage. Families can explore a dedicated Youth Zone filled with interactive inflatables, a gaming truck, mini golf, giant games, arts and crafts, giveaways and more—creating an all-day space to play, create, and relax.
Culinary offerings span local favorites and craveable street eats, including garlic crabs, fried lobster, fresh conch salad, jerk chicken, smash burgers, BBQ ribs, hibachi rice bowls, soul food sides and Caribbean dishes. Sweet treats and cool-down options include frozen lemonade, slushies, Italian ice, soft serve, frozen piña colada mocktails, cotton candy, popcorn and candy kebabs.
Admission is free and open to all.
