A guided golf cart tour offers a close look at the history, architecture and cultural legacy of one of Miami’s most influential neighborhoods.
Overtown: Soul Tour runs every Saturday through April 4 at the Historic Black Police Precinct Courthouse and Museum, presented by Tap Tap Tours. Departing at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., the 90-minute tour explores Overtown’s evolution from its late-19th-century roots to its role as a center of African American business, music and community life in Miami.
Led through Overtown’s streets and key landmarks, the tour highlights the neighborhood’s architectural heritage and its significance as a cultural hub once known for hosting nationally recognized performers and civic leaders. The experience begins and ends at the Black Police Precinct and Courthouse Museum, offering historical context while connecting past and present through place-based storytelling. Private tours are also available by request.
