Step into the courtyard at Books & Books for an evening of spoken word, shared stories and poetic connection beneath the palms of Coral Gables.
Palms & Poetry: Open Mic at Books & Books takes place every third Monday, offering a welcoming space for poets and poetry lovers to gather, listen and perform. Set beneath the stars in the bookstore’s outdoor courtyard, this monthly open mic invites participants to reflect, express and connect through the power of language.
A collaboration between the Miami Poetry Club and Books & Books, the series embraces voices from across the community—whether seasoned performers or first-time readers. Poets may sign up in person beginning at 7:20 p.m.; the list is capped at 25 readers. Food and drinks are available from the adjacent café, and all are welcome to attend, whether participating or simply taking it in.
